AgriLab offered to conduct not just soil analysis, but also the complex field agrodiagnostics. The first stage was the soil samples tacking by an automated sampler with GPS. After that, soil samples were analyzed at the WARD laboratory. In addition to soil analysis, comprehensive agro-diagnostics includes the determination of weather and climatic conditions of this field, the critical factors of cultivating certain crops and the natural potential of the field. The last stage of complex agrodiagnostics is the creation of recommendations for the cultivation of several types of crops on a field. As a result, agrarians receive not only an algorithm of concrete actions and proportions, but a convenient tool, which can be used for several years not only for agronomic, but also for economic planning.
“After implementation of AgriLab’s recommendations we managed to save about 20% of the resources. We began to input fewer fertilizers. For example, the results of the analysis showed that we have enough potassium in the soil, but we have introduced potassium fertilizers before”, – Sergey Moroz said.
Taking into account, that global climate change brings new challenges for agrarians and to predict yields more difficult each time, cultivating crops based on agro-diagnostics data can help to optimize the resources using.
“The harvest of this year is worse than the past. So weather conditions were formed – very cold spring, dry summers, we had no rains during the entire period of vegetation. But in winter crops we got a harvest at the level of last year. Also we have a good harvest of sunflower. Results for corn and soybeen are slightly worse. But thanks to the analysis of the soil, we optimized the resources for the cultivation of these crops. In the long term, we plan to develop precision agriculture”, – Sergey Moroz said.
